A playful selection of experimental cinema aimed at introducing the medium to new audiences.
Projected entirely on 16mm film, this program has been curated by FRAMES Film Series and was initially presented upon invitation in Montreal by la lumière collective under the title: PREMIERE VUE, the first instalment in their ongoing series inviting Canadian filmmakers and programmers to select works for young audiences.
Featuring short films by Dirk de Bruyn, Henry Hills, Chick Strand, Gary Beydler, Frank & Caroline Mouris, Barbara Hammer, Jeff Scher, and Jodie Mack.

Inspired by the creative oeuvre of London, Ontario-based artist Angie Quick, this 16mm program seeks to interpret visual and thematic parallels between the painter's oils on canvas and the moving images of nine avant garde filmmakers exploring the photochemical medium.
