The Last Pogo
Join us at Honey Dip for a trio of films chronicling the music & mayhem of Toronto's original punk rock scene of the late 1970's, featuring THE LAST POGO, Colin Brunton's landmark concert film documenting the celebrated 1978 show at The Horseshoe Tavern with performances by The Scenics, The Viletones, Teenage Head, The Cardboard Brains, The Secrets, The Mods, & The Ugly.
Also included is Ross McLaren's (1953-2023) CRASH 'N' BURN, with its gritty & grainy documentation of Toronto's first (and short-lived) punk venue of the same name, featuring The Diodes, Dead Boys, The Boyfriends, as well as additional performance footage of The Viletones and Teenage Head.
Preceding both is an anarchic experimental short by beloved Toronto punk starlet & former film processor, Suzanne Naughton, who passed away earlier this year.
